Remove Age Spots on Face and Hands

Sun SpotsAge spots are also commonly called liver spots. This has more to do with the color and shape than any connection to liver function. The flat, darker skin ranges in color from gray to brown but may be black. Younger people get them. Age spots are most common in adults 40 and older. Modern over-the-counter skin bleaching creams work to inhibit the production of melanin, and over time age spots will fade as new skin replaces darker skin. The other option is removal by surgery or lasers. Few health insurance providers cover medical treatment of age spots because it is considered cosmetic. Any age spot therapy takes time and repeated treatment.
